DESIGN FOR FOOD

A friend of ours from college planned to create a zine to display work of image makers like himself (check his blog.......... http://foryourenjoymentindustries.blogspot.com/). This is my entry for this issue based on ' design for food'. Im not sure if has taken off like he would have liked as we have heard nothing back yet, but anyway yeh.

YORKSHIRE TEA

Screen printing with caitlin, not my project but i wanted to do some printing. A copy of each of our prints will be displayed in Nation Of Shopkeepers, a bar in Leeds cty centre.

Bath spa have asked us to carry out a summer project intorducing ourselves. After hours of drawing out the stencil and a day of screen printing, caitlins pleasing results!

MAIL ME ART

Bought a friend a book (mail me art: going postal.......) for her birthday. It has some really interesting varied ideas from illustrators and designers across the world, and they're doing a second one. So I decided to have a go myself. This is my first entry, so there should be more to come before the closing month early in 2010............. and from caitlin too hopefully.

T-SHIRT PROJECT

After finishing our foundation course at Leeds we decided to use the facilities available, and take on printing our own t-shirts. We each came up with two designs we were happy with, split them across a range of sizes, and screen printed them on 100 white t-shirts.

Final exhibit Old Man Beardsley, Blacktooth and Huckaberry. Characters I found on the street and let my imagination run along and invent a life for each of them.



Based on a consequences type story written by various people............. a selection prints taken from development work and a 40 page illustrated hand bound book.
